3D Printing

The process of making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model. Done by laying down many thin layers of a material (metal, plastic, etc.) in succession.

CMS can create any physical object from a digital design. We offer large cubic build volume with a layer resolution of 100-400 microns; Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printing technology.

CAD Design

CAD, or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), is the use of computer technology for design and design documentation. CAD software, such as Solidworks or Fusion 360, replaces manual drafting with an automated process.

CMS can create any CAD design from a 2D drawing or an original object.

Castings

The manufacturing process in which a liquid material is poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify.

CMS offers investment and light alloy die casting.

CNC Machining

CNC machining is a subtractive manufacturing process, where raw material is removed with a variety of precision cutting tools to make a part or product.

CMS offers a variety of CNC machining options (milling, grinding, drilling, etc.) to meet the specific requests of your industry.

Sheet Metal

Processes that shape a piece of sheet metal into the desired part through material removal and/or material deformation.

CMS offers a variety of sheet metal forming technologies (English wheel, Pullmax, Planishing Hammer, etc.) to meet any specific requests.

3D Scanning

A device that analyses a real-world object to collect data on its shape and appearance. The collected data can then be used to construct digital three-dimensional models.

CMS offers handheld 3D Scanning using laser triangulation technology with a max resolution of 0.05mm and output formats DAE, FBX, MA, OBJ, PLY, STL, TXT, WRL, X3D, X3DZ, ZPR.

Extrusion

A process used to create objects of a fixed cross-sectional profile. A material is pushed through a die of the desired cross-section.

CMS provides prototype and production extruded metals and plastics for a massive range of industries. We are specialized in producing customs profiles from prototyping to mass production.

Rubber Pad Forming

A metalworking process where sheet metal is pressed between a die and a rubber block, made of polyurethane. Under pressure, the rubber and sheet metal are driven into the die and conform to its shape, forming the part.

CMS offers rubber pad forming to meet the specific requests of your industry up to 36”x 36”.

Rubber Vacuum Casting

Vacuum casting is a casting process for elastomers using a vacuum to draw the liquid material into the mold

Vacuum casting or cast urethane is a perfect solution for production quality parts without the cost or lead time required for production tooling. At CMS we can cast large and small parts, we have a massive range of materials available for your projects.
